Workshop Chronicles

An exercise in worldbuilding

One of the projects I’m undertaking is creating a world I can run d&d adventures in. It also serves the purpose of keeping the creative mind active

The easy part is finding inspiration. The hard part is bringing it together

I’m more or less “borrowing” ideas from different sources and smashing them together in hopes of producing something interesting

The challenge I’m facing is in doing too much. Not in terms of scale and wanting to craft nations, and tectonics and economies and pantheons but in trying to find a home for everything I like about my inspiration sources

Early days though and at the very least I’m writing and reading again but pretty clear that for me to make headway I’m going to need to make peace with not being able to add every idea to the mix. As they say, keep it simple
